WELCOME
Welcome to the web page for the Midlothian Ruritan Club. Our Club, in keeping with the mission of National Ruritan, is dedicated to helping and improving the community of MKidlothian through "Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service." We research the needs of the community then provide the services to help meet those needs. Our Club participates in such activities as helping our brave men and woman of the Armed Forces; helping feed the homeless; providing dictionaries for local 3rd graders; providing funding to send local students to Boys and Girls State functions; sending students to Youth Leadership Programs; providing nursing scholarships at John Tyler Community College; supporting post-prom activities for local high schools; funding Meals on Wheels; doing trash pick-up several times a year; help staff the WCVE Telethon each year; and make donations to various charitable organizations.
Our funding comes from two fund raisers; our brunswick stew sales in the Spring and Fall and our Christmas tree fundraiser. Both of these events help fund our worthy community service projects.
If you are interested in finding out more about our Club and Ruritans in general, feel free to attend one of our meetings. Our Club meets every 4th Thursday of the month at the Family Life Center located in Mt. Pigsah Methodist Church in the heart of Midlothian. We welcome you and your family, and we also have programs for your childern.
